The Mukungunugwa Clan is proud to announce the official launch of the Vazukuru Vekwa Mukungunugwa Forum (VVMF), a historic multigenerational initiative designed to unite and empower clan members worldwide. Governed by a 17-member board and 11 specialized committees, VVMF aims to provide comprehensive support and foster a strong sense of community among its members.
What is VVMF?
VVMF stands for Vazukuru Vekwa Mukungunugwa Forum, translating to Descendants of Mukungunugwa. It is a transgenerational vehicle of unity and progress, bringing together members of the Mukungunugwa Clan from across the globe. The forum is dedicated to addressing the social, economic, and cultural needs of its members through structured programs and initiatives.
History of VVMF
The Mukungunugwa Clan, tracing its roots back to the great Mukungunugwa, son of Mavunganidze, has a rich history of resilience and unity. The clan’s legacy was brought to life through an emotional address by the Chairperson during the launch event, highlighting the importance of unity and collective progress. Recognizing the need for an organized platform to support clan members, the idea of VVMF was conceived. The launch event on May 29, 2024, was attended by descendants from all over the world, now estimated to number around 600.
