SILOBELA – The Police is looking for six suspects in connection with a murder that occurred at Hozi Business Centre in Silobela, Midlands Province, in April 2024.
The suspects, who have been on the run for eight months, are wanted for the murder of Makhosezwe Fuzane.
According to the Midlands province police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, the suspects are Ryan Nangombe, Regis Mathema, Nqobizitha Mathema, Evidence Mpofu, Pumulani aka Marabha, and another identified only as Leonard.
It is reported that on April 12, 2024, around 4 PM, Fuzane was drinking beer at the Hozi Business Centre when the suspects approached him and asked him to buy them beer.
Fuzane refused, which led to a misunderstanding, but other patrons intervened to prevent mayhem from escalating into a fist fight.
However, at around 7 PM that same day, the suspects, armed with sticks, machetes, knives, and an axe, approached Fuzane again.
Sensing danger, the now-deceased fled, but the suspects chased him down, caught up with him, and attacked him indiscriminately with their weapons, resulting in his death.
The police have arrested one suspect, Ryan Nangombe, but the other five gang members remain at large.
Insp Mahoko appealed to the public for assistance in the form of tip-offs or any information that could lead to the arrest of the murder suspects.
