GWERU – Sheasham FC, a former Premier Soccer League team from the Midlands province, has announced the dissolution of its 2024 board of directors.
This decision was made by the club’s president, Clever Mandaza, who expressed his appreciation for the outgoing board members’ exemplary work and dedication.
In a statement, Mandaza said, “I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to the members who served on the Sheasham FC Board during the year 2024. Their exemplary work and unwavering dedication to advancing the Club’s mission are highly valued.”
The dissolved board include the chairperson Dr. Crispen Ngwenya, Vice Chairperson Tawedzerwa Mudzvoka, Secretary General Pithius Shoko, Board Member for Security Simbarashe Sibanda and Elias Maginya the Board Member for Communications.
Mandaza further informed Sheasham FC’s supporters, sponsors, stakeholders, and the wider football community that a new board will be announced shortly to guide the club into 2025.
This announcement comes amidst calls from football enthusiasts for Sheasham FC to also dissolve its technical team.
They argued that new people with fresh ideas are needed to take the club back to its rightful place in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Sheasham FC, known as the “Construction Boys,” is currently playing in the ZIFA Central Region Soccer League under the guidance of coach Lizwe Sweswe.
The club is currently on fifth position on the league table, despite the huge investment by the sponsors.
