MASVINGO CITY-Calvin Munorwei (38) who is suspected of murdering his sweetheart, Laura Sainet (23) on Friday night has been granted US$100 bail by Magistrate Elizabeth Hanzi.
Munorwei was granted bail today (Monday) late afternoon and was ordered to report to CID Masvingo every Friday and not to interfere with state witnesses until January 15 when he will be back in court.
He was represented by veteran Masvingo lawyer, Charles Ndhlovu and was not asked to plead.
Ruvimbo Makoni prosecuted.
Laura was found dead along Beitbridge Highway on Saturday morning by passersby who informed the police who took the body to Masvingo Provincial Hospital for postmortem which confirmed that she was murdered.
Sources told The Midweek Watch that their relationship was fraught with constant quarrels.
