KADOMA-Craft Properties Holdings marks 18 years of operations in April, as it intensifies its regional expansion drive and strengthens its footprint in Zimbabwe’s housing and infrastructure development sector.
Founded in April 2008 by Ptrofessor Kudakwashe Taruberekera, the company has grown from a small land development venture into a diversified property services group with operations spanning land development, construction, property management and security services.
With its headquarters in Kadoma City, Craft Properties has extended its reach beyond Zimbabwe through subsidiaries in Namibia and Zambia, underscoring its commitment to tapping into opportunities within the Southern African property market.
Its growth has been driven by a strategic focus on residential stand development and related services, amid rising demand for housing and commercial infrastructure across the region.
“We are proud of the progress we have made since establishing the company in 2008,” said Prof. Taruberekera.
“The support of our clients, partners, stakeholders and employees has enabled us to grow into a diversified organisation operating beyond Zimbabwe.”
The company’s diversified portfolio includes security services through its subsidiary, Never Sleep Security (Private) Limited, which offers advanced solutions to residential and commercial clients nationwide.

The unit is leveraging emerging technologies such as AI-powered surveillance systems for real-time threat detection and response, biometric access control for secure entry and exit management, drone-based aerial surveillance for enhanced perimeter monitoring and mobile applications for instant alerts and emergency response.
“We are committed to delivering top-notch security solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients,” said Prof. Taruberekera.
“Our investment in cutting-edge technology will enable us to provide unparalleled security services, ensuring peace of mind for our clients and their loved ones.”
Beyond security services, Craft Properties has undertaken numerous land development projects particularly in Mashonaland West Province while implementing corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at improving access to housing and creating economic opportunities for vulnerable communities.
In line with its sustainability agenda, the company has also established a Green Energy Department focused on delivering innovative and environmentally friendly energy solutions to households and businesses, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources.
“Our Green Energy Department is a key component of our commitment to sustainable development,” said Prof. Taruberekera.
“We are dedicated to providing affordable and clean energy solutions that benefit our clients and the environment.”
The company has maintained a clean legal record since its inception in 2008, reflecting its commitment to transparency, integrity and professionalism.
Prof. Taruberekera has also advocated for the integration of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence in infrastructure development to improve planning, monitoring and management of real estate projects.
“Our vision is to continue building sustainable communities while expanding our footprint in the region,” he said.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, Craft Properties plans to launch new property developments, engage stakeholders and unveil refreshed corporate branding alongside a redesigned website.
