CHIREDZI-Gwinyai Simon (48) from Inyathi area in Chiredzi Town is charged with culpable homicide after hitting a pedestrian at Croco Motors.
Muti who was driving a white Toyota Camry when he hit Simon Mamhunga (31) of Makondo suburb in Chiredzi who sustained serious injuries resulting in his death.
Masvingo Province police deputy spokesperson Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu told The Midweek Watch that the incident happened on 24 November at around 7pm.
Mamhunga’s body is awaiting post mortem at Chiredzi General Hospital.
Patinyu urged motorists to exercise caution when behind the steering wheel and always pay maximum attention to avoid unnecessary loss of life.
