Caravan Park hosts inaugural Cap and Shorts

MASVINGO CITY- Masvingo Caravan Park is set to unveil a Cap and Shorts themed event which is going to be packed with a lot of activities for all ages with the aim to increase traffic to Lake Mutirikwi and Great Zimbabwe Monuments amongst many other tourist attractions in Masvingo.
The event is slated for the 16th of December (2023) and will be hosted at two venues, Tambai Lakeside Park at Lake Mutirikwi and Caravan Park.
Garikai Garande who runs Caravan Park Masvingo told The Midweek Watch that Cap and Shorts is a new concept suitable for summer which easy and comfortable outdoor dressing for all ages.
“Cap and Shorts concept is a new thing as it is summer so that its easy and comfortable outdoor dress code and it includes everyone and it’s meant for all ages so everyone should come and enjoy the tourist attaractions we have in Masvingo”, said Garande.
“As said earlier the event is going to be held at two venues and people are expected to pay US$5 per head for adults which will give access to both venues at the same price and one can switch from one venue to the other using the same ticket where they are going to be treated to various activities and for kids under 12 they will enter for free”.
Head of public relations of Caravan Masvingo Tavita Natasha Mpala also stated that there is going to be artists who will perform at Caravan Park from 7pm till late and both venues will have Djs on rotation during the day.
“There is going to be artists who will perform at Caravan Park from 7pm till late by the likes of Trevor Dongo, Nicodimus Mutize aka Jah Signal and Maliyakini Saizi aka Kinnah and both venues will have Djs on rotation during the day”, said Mpala.
She went on to say that on the day Tambai Lakeside Park edition will have various activities for both the young and old, including tour of the Great Zimbabwe Monuments, scenic drives, lion encounter, boat cruises, fishing, tug of war, jumping castles and many more.
