ZAKA-A decomposed body of an unknown male adult was discovered in Chief Nhema’s area, Zaka District.
The incident occurred on April 17 2026 at around 1230 hours when Annamari Boroka (64) was weeding at her farm together with her 14-year-old niece.
The juvenile reportedly passed by an abandoned two-roomed house nearby and upon checking inside, discovered a lifeless body of an unknown man.
The matter was reported to the police who attended the scene and established that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
The deceased is suspected to have been mentally unstable as he was often seen roaming around the area.
The body was taken to Ndanga Hospital for a post-mortem examination and efforts to identify the deceased are underway.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Masvingo Province Deputy Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu has appealed to members of the public to check on their relatives and assist with any information that may lead to the identification of the deceased.
