Harare-A talented team of Zimbabwean boys and girls, all under the age of 15, departed for Namibia on Tuesday to compete in a prestigious regional soccer tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The event, which kicks off tomorrow and runs until October 13, will feature 13 countries, including Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Seychelles, Madagascar, Comoros, Eswatini, Lesotho, South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.

“This platform provides our U15 players with invaluable experience, enhancing football development and nurturing future talent,” said competition manager Simba Gochera.

The Zimbabwean team was carefully selected during a tournament held in Goromonzi, where the country’s top young players showcased their skills.

The team includes four boys from the Guinea Fowl High School, according to their coach, Jatson Maposa.

“We’re thrilled to have four of our boys representing Zimbabwe. We wish them the very best and extend our gratitude to the school and parents for their unwavering support,” Maposa said.
