MASVINGO CITY-The ZIFA Masvingo Provincial Soccer League hosted its annual Soccer Awards ceremony at Chevron Hotel where players, coaches, administrators and referees were honoured for their outstanding performances during the 2025 season.

The colourful event brought together key stakeholders in the province’s football fraternity, celebrating excellence, commitment and sportsmanship in local football.
SanSiro Sports Bar and Grill owner, Taurai Bucho Mudzviti who was the guest of honour, challenged players to remain disciplined and passionate about the game.
“Football requires commitment and character. Players must take sport seriously if they want to grow and compete at higher levels,” Mudzviti said.
Meanwhile, ZIFA Masvingo provincial chairman Nobioth Magwizi congratulated all the award recipients and commended teams for their dedication throughout the season.
“We are proud of the level of competition shown this year. I congratulate all players and coaches who received awards,” Magwizi said.
Magwizi further revealed that Four Lions FC has been promoted to the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League and will participate in the 2026 season.
He also outlined future plans for the province saying more teams will be added to strengthen talent identification and grassroots development in the province.
The awards ceremony marked a fitting conclusion to a competitive 2025 soccer season in Masvingo Province.
