Masvingo-The biggest Zimdancehall artist in the country whose net worth is estimated at over US$1m, Wallace Chirumiko aka Winky D is billed to perform perform at the fourth edition of the Lake October Great Zim Festival.
The energetic artist is expected to put up a memorable show at the Lake October Great Zim Festival which growing bigger and bigger each year.
The festival is expected to attract in excess of 10 000 fans as it is billed to be the biggest so far according the organisers.
This year’s event, to be held at Tambai Lakeside Park along the shores of Lake Mutirikwi, marks the festival’s 4th edition and is poised to be the biggest yet.
Tavita Natasha Mpala, head of Lake October Great Zim Festival public relations said, preparations are at an advanced stage, with an all-new setup and exciting lineup set to captivate attendees.
“We commend the organizing team for their tireless efforts in bringing together local and international talent, and for fostering a platform that celebrates not only the Masvingo heritage but the Zimbabwean culture,” said Mpala.
Garikai Garande, founder of the Lake October Festival, expressed his excitement about the finalized artist bookings, featuring Gemma Griffiths, Winky D and Freeman, among other top performers.
“This year’s festival promises to be an unforgettable experience, featuring amazing talents from across Zimbabwe and beyond,” said Garande.
The festival’s partnership with GZU Campus Radio as the official communications partner is expected to enhance the event’s reach and engagement. Festival-goers can look forward to experiencing the Lake October Gold Day and Family Fun Day, with various attractions and activities on offer, The Midweek Watch was told.
Organizers have urged attendees to purchase advance tickets only from authorized distributors to secure a spot at a lower price and avoid last-minute queues.
