The road is on a very dangerous steep slope gradient.

The road has very sharp winding curves

✓The road is very dangerous and lack maintenance

✓ During rainy season the road is very slippery

The historical spot which has claimed so many lives …the Blackspot of the Topora steep slope road … historical recorded accidents

1️⃣A well known businessman of the early 1970s Mr Muzenda popularly known as Mr Mashine was involved in an accident at the very same spot. At least two people perished at the spot .

2️⃣A Joma bus failed to negotiate the curve and overtaken at the very spot. A number of people were injured.

3️⃣A  food aid delivery truck killed an assistant as it failed to go past the Blackspot.

4️⃣A Mhunga bus lost control and hit the pavement at the Blackspot. It rolled over several times .A number lost their lives. Many had injuries.

5️⃣A Mashenjere businessman Mr Mabaso lost a wife after his car plunged into the donga over the pavement at the Blackspot.

6️⃣A Chikozho Bus is the most recent accident at the same Blackspot.

“Those who know this road and accident history at this Blackspot will agree that the Ministry of roads must investigate the cause of such fatal accidents at the same place.”

“The accidents at this Blackspot are all happening exactly at the same place and vehicle fall in a very similar fashion”

Chief Murinye and political leaders must call upon the government to study the road and try to find solutions.
