TelOne fans want Chikuni out

MIDLANDS – TelOne FC fans have become impatient with their club’s head coach Tendai Chikuni after the team lost 2-0 to Chegutu Pirates at Bata Stadium.

The Gweru based side is languished in the relegation zone after 11 round of matches played with only two wins.

They have no win in five matches with three draws and two loses leaving the team sitting on 14th position.

Tendai Chikuni.

The fans have grown impatient as they are not prepared to follow their citymates Sheasham FC who were relegated last season after giving John Nyikadzino too much time to put his house in order.

Past experiences make people wise and this is the route TelOne fans are taking in order to see their team not being relegated for the second time having done so in 2019.

The fans were barred by the police after the Pirates game as they bayed for Chikuni’s head.

Patrick Banda highlighted that Central Region clubs are too lenient; they lack the killer instinct which cost them every season.

“We saw Green Fuel chopping Dhlakama for poor results, but this is the opposite here as last season Sheasham allowed gave the coach too much time and now where they are, if TelOne follow the same route next season they will be playing dollar games, they need to have that killer instinct.

“We have good coaches like former Shabanie Mine FC John Phiri who can rejuvenate the squad,” he said.
