Silveira High, the best choral group

CHINHOYI-Silveira High School in Bikita District were crowned the best choral group at the recently held Catholic Schools Association (CASA) competitions in Mashonaland West Provincial capital, Chinhoyi.
Silveira High headmaster, Stanely Mutsambiwa told The Midweek Watch that he was very humbled and excited at the same time by the school’s choral team as they were still recovering from the vagaries of the deadly COVID-19.
“I was very humbled and excited by the results because I was not expecting it since as a school we were still recovering from the COVID 19 sabbatical leave”, said Mutsambiwa.
Silveira competed against 60 other top schools, but managed to come out tops and for their efforts they walked away with a floating trophy and certificates.
Second position went to Visitation Makumbe from Harare, Loreto High school from Gweru came third, while St Francis of Assisi in Nharira under Harare Dioces settled for fourth position.
On fifth position was St Joseph of Mutare Diocese, Shungu Mission of Gweru came sixth, Gokomere High under Masvingo Diocese came out number 7 and Serima High School under Gweru Diocese was on 8th position.
St Columbus and St Benedict both of Mutare Diocese settled for the ninth and tenth position respectively.
