MIDLANDS- Sheasham FC shocked themselves with a crucial 1-1 draw against title favourites, Highlanders FC at Barbourfields on Wednesday afternoon.
The Construction Boys opened the scoring through David Mangezi before Bosso equalized through Stanley Ngala.
The draw was a point gained rather than two points lost as the Construction Boys were not expected to come out with such a result in the Bosso’s fortress worse still scoring first.
However, the draw will be difficult to stomach for Highlanders who are chasing the title as they are now trailing log leaders Ngezi Platinum FC with six points.
Sheasham remain on 14th position with 27 points from 25 games after registering their 12th draw of the season and is the second highest number of draws after Triangle with 13.
The Construction Boys seek to survive relegation this season and with 9 games left they will be banking on their coach, Lizwe Sweswe and his charges to deliver the vision.
They will be seeking stellar performance from the likes of Polyester Shoko who has been getting regular starts , Liberty Masvaure, Hillary Bakacheza and Thubelihle Jubane.
