Shakashe bags best G7 results prize

MASVINGO – Masvingo City Council run, Shakashe Primary School has been rewarded for their sterling performance in the 2021 ZIMSEC Grade Seven examination, The Midweek Watch can reveal.

The primary school, under the leadership of Alexander Mashenjere, came first and was awarded 100 Grade 7 Mathematics textbooks from Masvingo City Council as a token of appreciation for the being the best.

Town Clerk Eng Edward Mukaratirwa presented the textbooks and encouraged the school to continue working hard to produce to be always on top.

“These books are a token of appreciation from the Council for the sterling work you are doing as a school because you always bring out the best results in Masvingo Province”, said Eng Mukaratirwa.

“This stance is going to make all council schools compete for the first position and by so doing, this will bring out excellent results in this town and the province at large”.

Runyararo Primary school came second and got 80 Grade Seven mathematics textbooks.

Headmasters from all council schools in Masvingo graced the event.

Mashenjere said he was happy with the recognition as this will spur them to surpass the previous record.

“We always want to be the best in all the areas and this is testimony of hard working by teachers, parents, the responsible authority and all the stakeholders,” said the soft spoken veteran administrator.
