MBERENGWA -A solitary goal by Happiness Marozva aka Okocha in deep stoppage time for Mberengwa based Great Dyke FC aka Serengeto Boys was enough to silence visiting Shurugwi FC.
The 13th fixture in the ZIFA Midlands Province Division 2A league was played at Education Stadium on Saturday.
The Mberengwa based club suffered a 2-0 loss in the reverse fixture but this time got things right with a sweet victory which has seen them amassing 22 points from 13 games played this season.
They came into this match having lost 1-0 in their previous match against Jemise Academy FC.
A win was the only for them to keep their hopes of winning the title in their first year in the league alive and Okocha gave them a boost they needed.
The club’s secretary general, Rochford Pikanegore said the team played well and hope to keep the momentum going.
“Okocha gave us the winning goal and it came at the right time when we needed the points and this time we claimed all three points which is good, going forward we need to win more matches,” he said.
