NYAZURA-Three armed robbers are on the run after they stole property and cash worth US$15 400 from a Rukweza businessman in Nyazura.

Manicaland Province acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka told The Midweek Watch that they are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of the armed robbers who were wielding a black pistol, iron bar and pepper spray.
On January 19 at around 7:30pm Rodrick Chipungare (43) and his wife Kudzai Mpofu (43) closed their shop, This n That General Dealer at Rukweza Business Centre and went home at the back of the shop.
At around 9:30pm Mpofu went out to fetch some water and when she was coming back she was blocked by three armed men, one with a black pistol, the other one with an iron bar and third one had a pepper spray.
They tied the couple with electric cable after spraying them with pepper and demanded cash from the husband who told them to get it from his jacket which was in the wardrobe.
They took US$4 900 and R7 000 cash, five cellphones and demanded car keys.
They were given keys for the Nissan Caravan AEV 0888 and drove away.
Chipungare reported the matter to Nyazura Police Station and investigations are underway, and nothing has been recovered.
