HARARE – The Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (ZIMDEF) has announced the appointment of a new board, ushering in a fresh chapter into the age old institution responsible for funding skills development in the country.
The new board is led by arguably the best mathematician in the country Professor Raphinos Chabaya as chairperson, with Col. Siwinile Tauya serving as vice chairperson.
The diverse board also includes Vimbayi Chinyadza, Barbara Muyengwa, and Trevor Magwaza, each bringing unique strengths and vision to the table.
This team is poised to drive ZIMDEF’s mission forward, fostering human skills development and innovation to support Zimbabwe’s modernization and industrialization efforts.
As a critical component of ZIMDEF’s corporate governance, the board’s role is pivotal in ensuring the organization’s mandate is executed effectively.
With Prof. Chabaya’s academic and administrative expertise, coupled with the collective knowledge and experience of the board members, ZIMDEF is well-positioned for success.
Prof. Chabaya has been at the helm of Zimbabwe Open University Masvingo Region for a very long time and his vast experience will definitely come in hand to steer ZIMDEF to greater heights.
