MASVINGO-Under fire Masvingo Provincial Education Director Shylatte Mhike has gone on vacation from 7 April to 16.
She took the vacation on the day the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education dispatched auditors on the province to probe alleged financial irregularities which led to her arrest by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission recently.
Mhike is out of custody on US$200 bail.
Efforts to get a comment from Mhike were unsuccessful as her mobile number was not reachable.
Petronella Nyangwe, the provincial director for educational services confirmed to The Midweek Watch that she is the acting PED until Mhike comes back from her vacation.
