Masvingo- One person died while three escaped with varying injuries when a Toyota collided with Iveco Truck after it encroached on the oncoming traffic lane along Ngundu-Tanganda road.
The road accident occurred on Saturday the 7th of September.
According to the police, Richard Makwazhire (37), was traveling eastbound with five passengers when his Toyota vehicle encroached on the right lane, colliding with the back wheel of an Iveco truck towing a sugarcane trailer.
Masvingo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said the impact caused the car to overturn and land on its roof, resulting in the death of Makwazhire on the spot.
His body was transported to Chiredzi General Hospital, along with the three other injured passengers.
