Nyenyesai, Milanzi shine at Byword business engagement golf tourney

MASVINGO CITY-A. Nyenyesai and D. Milanzi were the biggest winners at the Byword Motors business engagement golf tournament held at Masvingo Golf Club last week on Friday as they walked away with 4 plate gas stoves.

Nyenyesai and Milanzi won with 52 points in the fourball betterball stableford competition, which was sponsored by Byword Motors and supported by one of the biggest financial institutions in the country, FBC Bank.

The tournament which was sponsored by FBC Bank together with Byword Motors was meant to allow the business community to interact while playing the sport of golf in a relaxed atmosphere away from the offices.

Lazarus Nyarusanga, FBC Senior Manager Business Banking Division who was a keen golfer during his days in Zvishavane said all the deals agreed during the gentlemen’s game will be honoured.

“Be rest assured that whatever we agree here we will fulfill, come and get the money to finance your operations, we have the money,” said Nyarusanga.

In second place counted in was V. Chawonza and R. Mabhiza on 47 points, in third place counted out was T. Gezera and S Matake with 47points as well.

P. Mangwiro and C. Ngoma with 46 points came fourth counting out C. Rukuni and P. Mudzikisi who were in fifth position with the same points.

In sixth position was K. Machaya and A. Madzivadondo with 45 points. C. Ngwenya Senior and T. Mbetu had 44 points in seventh position counting out Dr Charera and M. Nyanyani with the same points who took 8th position. In 9th position was the sponsors team of S. Kondongwe and R Chiwara with 43 points.

In tenth position was D. Timba and B. Matake with 42 points while in position 11 was P. Nyaruwata and P. Mutsvairo who had 41 points.

A.Zvidzai and E. Makovore with 33 points were the most golfers. Nearest pin there was, C. Ngwenya Senior on hole number 3 , C. Ngwenya Junior on hole number 9, A. Sibanda on hole number 12 and T. Chawonza on hole number 18.

Men longest drive was won by C. Rukuni on hole number point, T. Matake had longest drives on hole number 7 and 17, T. Chawonza on hole number 15. In the ladies category there was A. Nyenyesai on hole number 16.
