Masvingo has hosted its third successful edition of the Masvingo Business Expo, which was graced by Masvingo Provincial Affairs Minister, Ezra Chadzamira.

The expo, which was held last week, attracted an impressive 50 exhibitors, with 23 new participants showcasing their products and services featuring 17 categories.

One of the biggest mining companies in the country, foreign owned Sinomine Bikita Minerals also stood out as an outstanding exhibitor.

Speaking at the expo, Minister Chadzamira highlighted the need to foster economic growth and development in Masvingo province.

He emphasized the importance of local companies prioritizing employment opportunities for the community.

“I am honored to be a part of this occasion. This is an excellent platform for the Masvingo business community to showcase their innovative programs. I urge both foreign and local companies to invest in employing local individuals. Let us create employment opportunities for our own people and enhance our economy,” stated Minister Chadzamira.

This year’s event demonstrated steady growth compared to previous editions, illustrating the hard work and commitment of the organizers.

Clever Chingwara, the Masvingo director for economic affairs and investments, acknowledged the progress but highlighted “the need for more training and awareness campaigns to educate the business sector about the benefits of participating in expos”.

The Masvingo Business Expo is poised to expand, attract more exhibitors, attendees, and potential foreign investors, as well as boost the local economy, said Chingwara.

One of the exhibitors Tinashe Dzoro of Spungold Security Pvt Ltd, one of the biggest security companies in Masvingo told The Midweek Watch that the business Expo underscores the “power of collaboration and innovation in propelling economic growth and development within the province”.
