The donation was handed over by the college’s acting principal, Faustinos Mushosho.

Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) Masvingo spokesperson, Stanslous Sanike, expressed gratitude for the donation, saying it would go a long way in improving the living conditions of inmates.

“We are grateful for the donation, which is a clear indication that the community is willing to support our efforts to rehabilitate and reintegrate offenders into society,” Sanike said.

Sanike also revealed that the college had partnered with ZPCS in agriculture and construction projects, which are aimed at promoting skills development and rehabilitation among inmates.

The donation of blankets and bedcovers is expected to alleviate the shortage of bedding materials in the prisons, which has been a major concern for the institution.
