CHIREDZI-A 10-year old land dispute involving a local family has finally come to an end thanks to the intervention of a spiritual leader from the White Garment Church.
According to Tsatsavani Chilonga, a widowed resident of a 3-hectare plot under Headman Masunda in Chiredzi, she had been facing a long-standing land dispute as well as other devastating life problems.
However, her fortunes changed last Sunday when she visited the White Garment Church led by Madzibaba Taireji.
During the church service, Madzibaba Taireji prophesied that Tsatsavani was living with a tokoloshi, a malevolent spirit that was causing havoc in her home.
The tokoloshi was reportedly responsible for attacking family members with stones, appearing as huge flames at night, and stealing food and water.
Madzibaba Taireji sent a team of three men and three women to Chilonga’s home to capture the tokoloshi.
After following the instructions, the team managed to put the tokoloshi into a sack.
However, the tokoloshi proved to be powerful and angry, causing one of the team members, Madzibaba Thomas Mudere, to burn his hands upon coming into contact with the sack.
The team’s car also refused to start until another car was sent from the church to collect them.
The tokoloshi was eventually brought back to the church and burnt to ashes.
Since then, Chilonga and her family have been living in peace.
Chilonga, who has two sons and three daughters, including a mentally challenged son who is currently in jail, expressed gratitude to Madzibaba Taireji for his help.
The family has been struggling to make ends meet, relying on farming and begging in Chiredzi town.
Madzibaba Taireji has promised to continue helping the family with prayers until Tsatsavani’s mentally challenged son is released and her second son, who is suffering from a stroke due to the tokoloshi attacks, is healed.
