During a recent media tour of Cimas’ newly refurbished laboratory, dental unit, and clinic in Bulawayo, the company’s leadership highlighted its efforts to improve healthcare delivery across the country.

Vulindlela Ndlovu, the Cimas Health Group Chief Executive Officer, stated that the company’s mandate is to “inspire healthy communities and provide wellness solutions.”

He emphasized the importance of ensuring that medical aid rates are affordable for everyone, so that accessing private healthcare is not a barrier.

“We need rates that can be afforded by everyone and come up with ways to improve access to health,” Ndlovu said.

“While there may be shortfalls at times, we are working tirelessly to make it more accessible and cover as many people as possible.”

Thando Kembo, the Cimas Chief Operating Officer, highlighted the company’s commitment to changing the healthcare landscape.

“It is our purpose as Cimas to inspire healthy communities by providing global standards,” Kembo said, adding that the organization is playing its part in transforming the healthcare landscape and urged the media to help in spreading the message.

The media tour was organized in partnership with the Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ).

ZUJ Secretary-General Perfect Hlongwane commended Cimas for its contribution to the media industry, including sponsoring the National Journalism and Media Awards (NJAMA).

Cimas currently operates 14 primary healthcare facilities across Zimbabwe, demonstrating its dedication to improving access to medical services for all citizens, regardless of their financial status.
