Just in! Chivi RDC CEO Matavire’s mother is no more

Chivi Rural District Council Chief Executive Officer, Tariro Matavire’ mother, Leah Chivende-Matavire has died.

She was 98.

Tariro Matavire (54) who is the last born in a family of seven children confirmed the sad loss to The Midweek Watch.

“My mother died at Makurira Memorial Clinic yesterday. She died due to breathing complications after suffering stroke.  She suffered stroke on February 1, this year and was admitted at Makurira on the same day until the time of her death.

“I am very grateful to the Almighty God for her life. We are actually celebrating her good life on this planet. She will be buried on Tuesday in Maranda area of Mwenezi District,” said Tariro Matavire.

Leah Matavire is also the mother of Zaka District Nursing Officer, Sister Eunice Muguti.

She is survived with seven children, 44 grandchildren, 54 grand grandchildren and one great grandchild.
