Man loses US$18k, gun at gun point

A man and his family have lost US$18 000, electrical gadgets, cellphones and a firearm to armed robbers at Chatsworth in Masvingo.

The accused assaulted him using an iron bar, a Police memo in The Midweek Watch possession has confirmed although the details are still sketchy.

Nicholas Zimbowora (64) of Zowa was robbed together with his family and the accused took cash and other valuables at gun point while assaulting him with an iron bar.

He lost his Toyota Allion, Reg Number AFI 4610 silver in colour and was rushed to hospital where he was treated and discharged.

The unfortunate incident happened at 2am today (Tuesday).
