MASVINGO-Self styled prophet Passion Java has questioned the sanity of United Family International Church leader prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa’s sanity when he said he was more gifted than the Almighty God.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Makandiwa says he is more gifted than God and God knows that, this has drawn the ire of Christians across the country including Java who opined that he could have not been okay upstairs.
Speaking on his facebook page on June 19 Java said that it must have been a slip of a tongue where the prophet has to take back his words and clear the air.
“After baba Guti we are looking up to you as a prophetic father in Zimbabwe and personally I consider you as my father. As a father you did nothing wrong because you are on higher level than me but as a church we know that no one should compare themselves with God.
“We are bothered as youths by your statement where you claimed that you are more talented than God because there is nothing like that. Wisdom is a gift and God is wisdom so what are we saying here.
“In the Bible there are people who thought they were above God and spoke against him who perished and went down miserably. I am talking about Nebuchadnezzar, Nimrod , Pharoah and Satan, these four gentlemen mocked God’s ability but check their story and how they were punished by God.
“For the prophet maybe, it was a slip of a tongue and we hope he reconciles and rephrase his statement. He is a man of integrity and his ministry has a huge following,” Java penned.
Java also said he likes Makandiwa because he is rallying for President Mnangagwa just like him and prophet Ezekiel Guti.
Other people went on twitter where they vented their disappointment over Makandiwa’s statement saying it makes no sense, he is becoming too big headed and a sign of arrogance.
“That statement lack sense. It’s like saying I can see more than my eyes. The eye gives you seeing but you come and say I see more than my eyes,” (sic) said one blogger.
Isheanesu Nisbert Tayiya admired Java’s remarks and wrote “I am not a follower of Passion Java but on his way to airport he said something that made a lot of sense. He was trying to positively correct Makandiwa,” read the comment.
Zaka Admire Mutasa shared different sentiments on twitter and wrote “I do not like Makandiwa but he is right. God is not gifted but he is a giver of gifts. He is saying I am more more given by the giver,”.
McAuthur Lokie compared Makandiwa to Madungwe and wrote ‘Madungwe only visits heaven, have braais naMwari and gives us feedback kuti beef yanga yakawandisa . Zvekuzoti I am more gifted than God hmmm hameno. Madungwe will never say something like that and I respect him,” read the comment.
