Charumbira sex assault case a ‘sting’ operation

The alleged sexual assault case against president of the Zimbabwe Chiefs Council and Pan African Parliament, Chief Fortune Charumbira, has turned out to be a politically-motivated sting operation against him.

This follows recent revelations that a third hand is involved in the vilifying scheme and has plotted a demonstration against him, despite the matter being pending at the courts.

Investigations by this publication reveal that the alleged victim of the sexual assault were at one time flown in first class to South Africa where they were allegedly booked at a local hotel to demonstrate at the Pan African Parliament (PAP) where Chief Charumbira is the President.

However, the demo went on to fail after the ring leaders were exposed of having been funded by the Chief’s enemies who want to remove him as president of the African Parliament.

The alleged fresh demo, whose location is yet to be known, is meant to get attention from the Provincial Chief’s Council.

Sources said a third hand involving a wealthy businesswoman based in South Africa wants to push Charumbira out of PAP.

“It’s clear there is an invisible hand behind this whole saga, why are they trying to bring this issue up anywhere they get a chance. How the Chief’s council does comes in here when the issue is in the courts.

“Why can’t they wait for the courts, and raise it after that if there is any need or if they are not happy with the outcome,” said a GZU political lecturer who preferred anonymity for professional reasons.
