Extra Basso album launch on course

HARARE- Sungura kingpin Alick Macheso aka Baba Shero has dismissed reports of the postponement of his album launch slated for this Friday at Alex Sports Club in Harare.
Some online news outlets reported that Macheso’s album launch has been postponed following Government ban on public events ahead of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) summit.
Macheso, however, dismissed these reports, reiterating that the album launch preparations are at an advanced stage.
“The launch is on, despite the rumours others want to circulate. As you can see, the stage and sound system are being erected and all other preparations are going on very well,” said the decorated Sungura maestro.
He also assured his legion of fans that tickets are still available at the usual places and platforms.

Macheso is set to launch his 13th album, “Kupa Kuturika,” on August 2, 2024.
The album carries six tracks namely, Kuverengera, Undiregererewo, Zvichada Hama, Murangarire, Kunditaya and Hunhu Hwakashata.
Macheso is promising to serenade fans at his album launch by playing songs from his rich catalog of hits.
