CHIREDZI-Edmore Mukuze (24) of Labamba Village under Chief Tshovani is on the run for allegedly killing Noel Chauke (38) from the same village following an argument as they were drinking beer at Chiradzamunda Business Centre in Mkwasine.
The incident happened on January 1, 2025 at around 7pm.
It is alleged that during the scuffle Mukuze picked a log from the fire and hit Chauke three times on the head.
Chauke fell down and the accused ran away while other imbibers tried to render first aid to no avail.
The police were informed and they took the body to Chiredzi General Hospital for a post mortem.
Masvingo Province police deputy spokesperson Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu urged the public to assist in the arrest of the accused who is still at large.
He also added that the public should desist from resolving differences through violence as it results in the unnecessary loss of life leading to the suffering of innocent souls.
