BUHERA – Buhera paramount Chief and Senator Makumbe, born Shepherd Chengeta (57) died at Westend Hospital in Harare last night.
Buhera District Development Coordinator, Freeman Mavhiza confirmed the sad news to The Mid-Week Watch.
“Yes, I received the sad news that Chief Makumbe is no more. We are saddened by such a loss,” said Mavhiza.
Chief Makumbe was installed in March 2018.
He was also re-elected into senate this year for the second time.
His uncle Logic Chiremba said the Chief died at Westend Hospital after a short illness.
Chief Makumbe left behind his wife and eight children.
