CGIZIM in charity golf tournament

HARARE-Chartered Governance Institute Zimbabwe (CGIZIM) is going to hold their 25th edition charity golf tournament next month.

The tournament is going to be held on July 21, 2023 at Chapman Golf Club in Harare.

CGIZIM membership and students services manager, Tracy Mushonga confirmed the development to The Midweek Watch and said that the tournament has been running for 17 years whose main objective is to assist the disadvantaged members of the society across the country.

“The main objective of the tournament is to assist the disadvantaged members of the society across the country and to date several charity organisations in various provinces have benefited from these tournaments for example we have donated books, blankets, and printers to schools over the past 17 years and the recent beneficiaries being Mazonwe Secondary School, Zindi Primary School in Manicaland Province and Turkmine Primary School in Matabeleland North province,” said Mushonga.

Mushonga went on to say that they are expecting 30 teams to register for the tournament from both corporate and individual participants and each team will contribute USD$300 for their ball and USD$75 for individuals and will be drawn into a team for the competition.

One of the biggest companies in Masvingo, Jadecon Construction and Byword Motors confirmed their participation in the prestigious event.

Byword Motors assistant general who is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Secretary Administrators in Zimbabwe confirmed their participation as a team this year.

“Team Byword will be taking part at the annual event since some of us are members and this will also go a long way in enhancing our brand as the supplier of choice for top of the range motor vehicles in the country,” said Museva.
