ZVISHAVANE – Army side Tongogara FC who missed the sole ticket to the topflight league to TelOne FC have atoned for their misery by dominating the ZIFA Ruvimbo Central Region Soccer League soccer stars.
The army side contributed three players to the best 11 finalists, Nelson Chikora, Marshal Mugaviri and Simon Shanga while champions TelOne and ZPC Munyati have two players each.
Zvishavane had three teams in the league but only FC Platinum under 19 team has one player, Trymore Kawerere, named among the best 11.
The top players in the form of best goalkeeper, top goal scorer, player of the season as well as coach of the season will be revealed during the awards which are slated for December 16, 2023.
The best 11 players were voted for by journalists across The Central Region and coaches from the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region.
The best 11 which were confirmed by the administrator are. Blessing Sahondo (TelOne Fc), Aubrey Nyandoro (ZPC Munyati), Blessing Sibanda (TelOne Fc), Nelson Chikora (Tongogara), Marshal Mugaviri (Tongogara),Philip Chamunorwa(Chapungu),Trymore Kawerere(FCP u19), Boniface Zubeni (ZPC Munyati),Munashe Bamara( Dulibadzimu),Simon Shanga (Tongogara) and Tanaka Zingwe from MSU.
