MIDLANDS – The ZIFA Central Region Division 1 Soccer League is set to kick off mid April.

This development was revealed to The Midweek Watch by the CRSL chairperson, Patrick Hill.

“The league is set to start mid April and we are still talking to sponsors,” he said.

The league was sponsored last season by Ruvimbo Funeral Assurance Company who had made a deal of USD 75 000 across three seasons.

This year’s season is expected to be quite exciting with the likes of Sheasham, Blanket Mine, Tongogara all vying for promotion into the elite Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

The league welcomes newbies in Jame West FC and HardRock FC who are busy in the preseason market building up squads with survival being their primary target.
