Brazen hypocrisy of west

Many library shelves sag beneath the weight of political literature generated by scores of international journalists on the progress and ambitions of western defined democracy and its impunitive crusade, veiled in the name of “democracy”.

Alas, all this perceptional gerrymandering and white washing, nothing has truly been done or recognized on how diabolical the foreign policies of EU and the US have been, towards not  just Zimbabwe but, Africa at large.

For decades since the end of the Second world War the US and its cronies have brazenly played “world police”  and unfairly dictated to the world how to run their social, political, cultural and economic affairs ,ensuring that this one sided unipolar setup served nobody else but the imperial bureaucracy of the Anglo-Saxon empire, that for centuries have master minded maliciously  imperialism, interventionist diplomacy, civil wars, Transnational corporation looting of resources and perpetual under developing of the African motherland.

For too long Africa and its leadership have unwittingly appeased the notorious dictation of Europe and US in carrying out of their diplomatic strategies. A huge proportion of our people have fallen for the lies of the west as they have perpetuated the unfair and illogical dominance of the petro-dollar economy that replaced the gold standard; a shoddy arrangement in which only benefitted the “greenback printing “US treasury and only served to enrich the west and underdevelop Africa who happen to be the resource frontier for easily over 75% of the global natural resources. What a shame!

This unscrupulous prolonging of imperial tendencies by the west have come ,guised  as donor aid, calls for “democracy ” and self determination when in in fact the west has been creating chaos ,crises that thwart development .The war monger mentality  of the US  Foreign policy has   made 122 military invasions since 1991  in the name of defending capitalism  and democracy  yet objectively  looking at the results of their military invasions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Panama, Syria, Libya -one can see a very clear trail of civil war ,war crimes ,genocides ,looting and political instability ; a good recipe for plundering of African resource heritage.

Not only did they end with these malicious operations but without the consent of the United Nation’s Security  Council, forcefully  carried out all their operations in these c and  other African countries such as  Zimbabwe  where they have  consistently imposed mass impoverishing  sanctions, bankrolled rogue journalists ,treasonous political mercenaries to cause mayhem, destabilize the country ,cause economic meltdown in the hope that anti -west regimes are toppled for puppetries who consent to their plundering of African resources .

Speaking on Wednesday, 1 March 2023, after the illegal, diabolical and shameless extension sanctions on Zimbabwe. US president, Joe Biden had this to say:

“The actions and policies of some Zimbabwe government officials and other persons to undermine the country’s democratic processes or institutions continued to “pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the foreign policy of the United States.”

As hard as it may be for one to believe, in his own speech on extending the in Executive Order 13288, Biden clearly indicates that the sanctions do not serve any interests of Zimbabwean people or their long-term ambitions but merely those of American foreign policy.

These are sanctions that SADC, African Union and UN  rapporteur report have condemned  in the strongest of terms indicating that they do not serve the purpose for which they are said to be crafted for but harm innocent civilians.

Despite all these condemnations the West has continued to extend these sanctions clearly with the now published, intention to cause suffering of the masses in hope of ushering a regime change for a government that hopefully will reverse the land reform championed by Zanu PF government in the early 2000s.

This revelation must serve as a beacon of awakening for those who shudder in the orgasmic and fallacious assumption that there now can be a good intention for the black man from a west, who from Slavery, imperialism to neo imperialism has sought to ensure that Africa remains underdeveloped, unaware, divided, disreligioned and disillusioned about their fate and that of their resources which the west is so dependent on to sustain the dominance of their now deteriorating hegemony over Africa.

In line with this revelation, it is a moral responsibility of African states like Zimbabwe to usher in legislation that cushions the infallibility of the state, its policies and its principles of black empowerment against western funded detractors who are being bankrolled to cause mayhem and loss of faith on revolutionary governments who were custodians of the fight for political and economic independence in Africa.

The onus of protecting the legacy of independence, borne by the martyrdom of thousands of gallant sons and daughters of the soil, who were butchered by the white man in bid to avert independence, lies with the ordinary citizen, to vote wisely, with awareness, on the ballot paper of the detractors who represent the will of our heartless, gay rights loving colonial masters.

These shameless westerners today want to hypocritically parade their sinister policies as missionaries of democracy, and to dictate how African countries run their political, legislative and economic process.

The allies of these vampire states who by a series of covet projects are targeting promising economies such as Zimbabwe from becoming part of Africa’s success story without the western hegemony, must not be allowed anywhere close to echelons of power.

Like Julius Assange, be prosecuted for selfish betrayal of their fellow countrymen, powered by khaki envelopes to tarnish and soil the national image, repel investment opportunities, sow misinformation and misconception that Zimbabwe cannot be built without the white man.

There is no truth clearer for all to see than President Mnangagwa’s mantra ” Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo/Ilizwe lakhiwa ngabanini balo” loosely translated as ” Every nation is built by its own citizens”

The sustainable development and future of Zimbabwe and its offspring will not be given on a silver platter by our traditional enemies but ourselves.

Firstly by wisely defending the gains of independence, in peace on the ballot paper and shunning western regime change projects that have no tangible plan for the country but a repetition of the colonial hand over of our hardly earned heritage to the greedy “haves ” of the west who perceive Zimbabwe as a pawn in their foreign policy chessboard.
