BUHERA – All is set for the Buhera Foundation Unity Day 5km race to be held on Unity Day, 22 December.

A board of trustees member from Buhera Foundation told The Midweek Watch that the 5km race will start and end at Buhera Growth and is open to both men and women and there are lots of prizes to be won.

“To encourage participation, each race will have about US$200 worth of prizes shared among top three runners in defined category.

“Our objective is to promote sporting prowess by identifying talent that can then be developed further through structured training and coaching,” he said.

The event will be running under the theme; ‘Unity, Peace and Prosperity.’

He also said that henceforth such races will be organized on each public holiday to capture both students and working people and the next event will be on Youth Day, 21 February next year.
