3 Chiredzi murder suspects on the run

MASVINGO-Three Chiredzi men are on the run following the murder of a 22 year old man that occurred in Chiredzi under Chief Tshovani on 31 May, 2024.
Masvingo police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the incident to The Midweek Watch.
On 13 May 2024, Godfrey Kurivale (39) of Dali village under Headman Chitsa, Chief Tshovani, Absolem Dale from same village, Answer Masiringira of Keep-One Village, are said that they went to Vengai Tshovele (22) from Tshovele Village under Headman Chitsa to question him about stolen cell phones, said Dhewa.
He said, Vengai asked the three suspects to go and see where the phones are, instead of taking him to the police station they went with him to the owner of the phones while hitting him with poles and dumped him by the roadside.
He was picked by a passerby; the case was reported to the police on 23 May and taken to Chitsa Clinic where he was referred to St Peters Hospital in Chipinge and was discharged and advised to see a doctor on 27 May.
One human rights defender (unnamed) took him to Parerenyatwa Hospital on 31 May.
The police was informed that he died, but the accused were already on the run.
“We request anyone with information of the three suspects to report to the nearest police station,” he said.
