Zvishavane derby moved

ZVISHAVANE – The much-anticipated Zvishavane derby pitting developmental side FC Platinum under 19 and Shabanie Mine FC has been rescheduled from Sunday 11 June 2023 to Saturday 10 June 2023.

The dates has been confirmed by the Ruvimbo Funeral ZIFA Central Region Soccer League administrator, Gift Nyapomwe.

The move may have been necessitated by the temporary suspension of the Castle Premier Soccer League matcheds until July 1 as Mandava stadium is now available because FC Platinum senior team no longer host Chicken lnn at the same venue on Saturday.

FC Platinum under 19 squad are currently on position nine with seven points on the table with two games in hand meanwhile Shabanie Mine Fc are on position 10 with six points on the table.

The last time these two played each other was as the curtain raiser of the Castle Challenge Cup back in March this year with the match ending in a 2 all draw.

Nyapomwe said in a letter addressed to both club’s secretaries that the match has been rescheduled.

” Please be advised that the league match between FC Platinum under 19 and Shabanie Mine FC which was scheduled to be played on Sunday 11 June 2023 at Mandava Stadium has been rescheduled. The match will be played on Saturday 10 June 2023 at the same venue and time”, it read.
