A Zimunya Township man has died in a car accident after the vehicle that he was driving overturned once when he failed to navigate a curve at the 12km peg along Mutare Masvingo Highway.
Taurai Mlambo (33) lost control of his Honda Shuttle as he was driving forwards Mutare last week along the Masvingo road and sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot, acting Manicaland Province police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the sad news to The Midweek Watch.
Mlambo had one passenger in the car, Shylette Mumbende who sustained minor injuries and was taken to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital in a stable condition for treatment.
Mlambo’s body was taken to the same hospital for a postmortem.
Chinyoka said motorists should avoid speeding at curves or where there is poor visibility in order to avoid accidents.
