MASVINGO- The ZIFA Eastern Region Soccer League (ERSL) is set to hold crucial 2 day workshop on the 12th and 13th of August at Golden Peacock Hotel in Mutare to mainly discuss new developments in the game of football.

On Saturday the league will meet club chairpersons and secretaries from all the affiliated teams and on Sunday they will train security officers on basic issues.

The training of security officers was supposed to have been done at the beginning of the season, but that was not possible due to unexpected problems.

In a statement in our possession the ERSL is holding the indaba after realizing that some clubs were not well versed with rules and regulations of the region and some basic football matters.

Security officers will be trained by a highly qualified Confederation of African Football (CAF) instructor from Harare, Emmanuel Mutunami who has done a lot of training for Premier Soccer League (PSL) and also does training for other three regions.

“As ERSL we have noted that the moment we conduct these workshops, the level of understanding of clubs on our statutes improves and reduces the challenges we always find during or after our matches,” said the ERSL vice chairperson Wisdom Simba.
