ZHOMBE-The Zimbabwe Republic Police is searching for a 26-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a fellow villager to death following an argument at a braai in Zhombe.
The incident occurred at Hove Business Centre around 7:30 PM on May 24, 2025.
According to the Midlands province police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, the suspect, identified as Tinashe Mazanhi, met the now deceased at the business centre where there was a braai.
Insp Mahoko said the late Paul Herbert allegedly knocked meat off the braai stand and trampled on it.
This did not go well with Mazanhi who withdrew an Okapi knife and stabbed Herbert on the chest.
Herbert was rushed to Kadoma General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Inspector Mahoko has appealed to the public for any information that could lead to Mazanhi’s arrest.
He urged anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
