ZHOCD sets up provincial committee

The Zimbabwe Heads of Christian Denominations (ZHOCD) has established its Masvingo Provincial Executive Committee, comprising eight members.
ZHOCD is an umbrella organization consisting of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ), Union for Development of Apostolic Churches in Zimbabwe in Africa (UDACIZA), Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops Conference (ZCBC), and Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC).
The committee members include Chairperson: Rev. Maxwell Msindo Nyamande (EFZ), Vice Chairperson: Fr. Chagweda (ZCBC), Secretary: Bishop Mapika (ZCC), Vice Secretary: Bishop Kudzai Makuvire (UDACIZA), Fr. Cleophas Magundani (ZCBC), Bishop Gabriel Nyamande (UDACIZA), Bishop Philiph Mahove (EFZ), Dean Hove (ZCC) were elected committee members respectively.
Each of the ZHOCD member organizations has two representatives on the committee.
Bishop Ignitious Makumbe, representing the ZHOCD national executive, emphasized the committee’s purpose to strengthen coordination and integration among churches in the province, facilitating the proclamation and demonstration of the gospel.
UDACIZA general secretary, Reverend Chitanda, noted, “Theologically, we must reflect on the church’s role in public life. The church has a responsibility to effectively participate in all spheres of life, providing spiritual and moral guidance.”
