Worker bumps into foetus blocking sewer at Mandava

ZVISHAVANE- A Zvishavane Town Council employee had the shock of his life when he bumped into a foetus blocking a sewer of a toilet that he was cleaning in Mandava Suburb.

Midlands Province Police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the horrific incident which happened at around 9am on May 14.

Alluwis Manatsa, employed by Zvishavane Town Council was on duty maintaining Chesuma toilets when he bumped into the foetus.

He discovered that the drainage was blocked and upon investigations he discovered a lifeless male foetus in the pipe blocking the flow of sewage.

The Police were informed and attended the scene and the foetus was taken to Zvishavane District Hospital Mortuary.

It is suspected that the dumped foetus was of a sexual worker from Majaradha area.

Inspector Mohoko appealed to anyone who might have information that can assist in arresting the mother of the dumped foetus to contact the nearest Police Station.
