MIDWEEK REPORTER
CHIVI-Vice President Kembo Mohadi will on Thursday officially open E.D. Mnangagwa Clinic in Shokoni Village under Chief Matsveru Chivi District which is set to benefit thousands of villagers who have been walking long distances to access health services.
The US$100 000 E.D. Mnangagwa Clinic was built by Kadoma based business mogul, Jamaya Muduvuri who was born in Chivi.
The clinic will service the whole of ward 15 including villagers from Gwaziva, Mhosva, Gwatiringa, Munyengeri, Chirongoma, Mafuka and Gozo.
Muduvuri confirmed the good news to The Midweek Watch in an interview on Tuesday.
“I am excited that I am living my dreams of serving the people of Zimbabwe and in particular Chivi where I was born. The massive clinic will be officially opened by Vice President Cde Mohadi on Thursday and we are more than ready to hold the historic event.
“I built the clinic on a stand where my late father used to run his shop and this will see war veterans, the disabled and the elderly receiving free treatment at the clinic, I am doing this as a way of giving back to the community.
“President Mnangagwa played a pivotal role in my recovery when I was involved in an accident that left me disabled and I fully appreciate what goes on in life if one is not health.
“Health should be a top priority in life, a nation that is health is a productive nation,” said Muduvuri who has built a similar facility in Kadoma.
Besides the clinic, there is also a 10 bedroomed house for the nurses accommodation and plans are under way to built a church as well on the same premises.
