Superior (Constitutional, Supreme and High) courts judges are up in arms against the Judicial Service Commission for allegedly forcing them to use chicken buses to Nyanga for a retreat.

The Midweek Watch was inundated with calls from the superior courts judges complaining about the JSC’s decision for them to use chicken buses to the end of term symposium in Nyanga on Thursday (tomorrow).
“They are treating us like children going for a school trip, this is unheard of for judges who have two cars allocated to each of them to use public transport. They told us that it will enable us to interact as a team and get to know each other, that is ridiculous and unacceptable.
“We are being treated like children and that has dampened our morale as senior court officers,” said a furious judge on condition of anonymity.
Efforts to get a comment from JSC secretary, Walter Chikwana were fruitless as his mobile phone was not reachable.
The JSC is headed by Chief Justice Luke Malaba while the secretariat is led by Chikwana.
