The Police has arrested two notorious armed robbers who had been allegedly terrorizing the Masvingo community, stealing laptops and cellphones among other things.
Michael Moyo NR 26-227890B26 aged 27 of Entumbane in Bulawayo and Jacob Enjoyment Danda NR 07-152367L-07 aged 31years of Chamisa Village, Buhera.
Accused persons allegedly robbed laptops and cellphones in Masvingo Zimre Park residential area.
A tip off came from a motorist who had ferried them on the loading box of his pick up vehicle, who suspected them to be criminals.
Police mounted a block at tollgate and arrested them. Upon searching accused persons were found with 6 cellphones and 3 laptops which they could not account for and were arrested.
On being interviewed it was discovered that they had committed a spate of armed robberies in Masvingo.
The accused are in police custody and will be taken to court on Monday.
