BUHERA – The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ) has yesterday conducted a Festive Season Road Safety awareness campaign at Murambinda Growth Point in Buhera.
The campaigns are aimed at raising awareness in the community as road users in reducing the traffic accidents.

Speaking to the Murambinda community at a gathering at Anglican Church, Manicaland Regional Traffic Safety manager, Ernest Muchena urged commuters to use public service transport and avoid overloaded vehicles to minimize road traffic accidents.
“I urge you to avoid boarding overloaded and over crowded vehicles. Also do not board mushikashika when traveling, they are not safe,
“Use public service transport with red and white number plates, those are the registered public service transport providers,” said Muchena.
The awareness campaign was supported by ZRP, VID, local driving schools, Pastors fraternity and other government departments.
The national festive season road safety awareness campaign was launched on Friday in Harare running under the theme ‘Together We Can Save Lives. ‘
