CHIREDZI- Yesterday’s match at Green Fuel Chisumbanje saw Triangle United FC succumb to a 0-2 loss at the hands of former cup kings Caps United FC.

The home team’s woes began as early as the 16th minute when their goalkeeper scored an own goal, gifting Caps United the lead.
Caps United’s midfielder, Juan Mutudza capitalized on Triangle’s misfortune, scoring another goal just minutes later.
Despite having numerous scoring opportunities, Triangle failed to convert with their corner kicks and free kicks proving ineffective.
The home team’s struggles were further compounded by their tendency to make back passes which stifled their attacking momentum.
Caps on the other hand demonstrated a solid defensive posture thwarting Triangle’s attempts to score.
In the post-match interview, Caps head coach Lloyd Chitembwe expressed his satisfaction with the win.
“We are very happy with how we handled our business today, especially our attitude in the first half. The second half was all about defending,” said Chitembwe.
Triangle head coach Luke Vahombe Masomere acknowledged his team’s shortcomings and vowed to utilize the upcoming international break to address these issues.

“Caps capitalized on our schoolboy errors and we were punished. During the international break we will work on those shortcomings and tune our team for the next encounter against Ngezi Platinum FC,” said Masomere.
